About our Flagship Store

Design Company FOUR IV have collaborated with The East India Company to create and design the new store in London. The aim was to reflect The East India Companies rich history taking influence from the past but deliver a modern luxury store relevant for today’s consumers.

Our lines of Fine Foods includes Teas, Coffees, Biscuits, Jams & Marmalades, Chutneys, Savoury Marmalades, Sauces, Mustards, Specialty Sugars, Oils, Cordials, Sweets, Chocolates, Fine Wines, Champagnes, Gift sets, Hampers and Accessories.

The store is a packed with a wealth of design features from floor to ceiling, which inspire from the moment you step through the ornate gated entrance. The floor finishes incorporate a selection of renewable woods and feature a beautiful floor mosaic, inspired by The East India Company Chop Mark.

The delicate detail of the “Cash” desks highlight just some of the features which are remarkable in this boutique’ trading space. This project has brought together the work of artisans from around the world.

The Experience

The East India Company Store experience, combines modern luxury and comfort with timeless style offering a relaxed service dedicated to you. Step across the threshold into a retail environment, which wants you to experience the range of exquisite flavours, which our trading team carefully developed with our artisan suppliers. Children are welcome in this family friendly store; our multilingual staff will offer advice, information and the opportunity to sample our food range.

The Tea Library

Tea was and remains a key part of The East India Company; you can select from our wide range of finest green, black, herbal and flavored teas, specially selected by our tasters. Perhaps explore flowering tea such as the “Thousand Year Red” that will make an impact on any special occasion. All can be discovered in our “Tea Compendium”.

Green Tea

We stock a range of the finest Green Teas
from around the world.  As one would expect most of these teas are from Japan and China.  The Company’s signature Green Tea is the The infamous Joseph Clarks Gunpowder tea named after a warehouse worker who took a liking to our tea.

Black Tea

The East India Company has been instrumental in establishing some of the great tea producing regions of the world such as Darjeeling, one of the great Indian Teas

Herbal teas

Our scented and flavoured teas are inspired by our travels and always use natural ingredients, the store stocks range of house blends beautifully presented with remarkable flavours.  One of our most popular is Blend 63 Green tea with Jasmine and Mandarin oils

Our Chocolate Range

Our Chocolate range will inspire and delight you. Choose from our beautifully designed chocolate boxes and gift sets to help you find a perfect gift that will be remarked upon and remembered by anyone lucky enough to receive one. Our Luxury Chocolate gifts and indulgences from white, milk & dark chocolate to caramel, truffles & more. Our chocolate bars explore flavours from around the world and allows you to explore new flavour combinations.

Luxury Gifts

Our luxury food gifts and hampers, suitably lit from above with a chandelier made with hand blown red glass droplets. The overall affect is reflective of the craftsmanship that is an essential part of The East India Company range and proposition. The design team has created a luxury environment to appeal to the discerning yet eclectic customers who enter our store from around the world.

“The wine of Araby” or coffee as it is known today has special place in The East India Company and there will always be something exclusive and unique to suit your taste from our pre roasted packs available from “The Estate”. Our fabulous coffee selection inspired by the history and connections of The East India Company offering timeless classics and modern favorites.
