A CLOSER LOOKNestled in the foothills of the Himalayas, Namring Upper Estate has one of the finest terroirs for the growing of Camellia Sinensis. Our teas are picked from a section of the tea gardens between 3500 and 5000 feet in elevation, one of the highest in the region. The tea leaves bloom more slowly, allowing for more flavour to develop in the buds and leaves than lower grown teas. Two leaves and a bud are traditionally picked, in response to climatic conditions our Tea Master has advised to pick a single succulent leaf and a bud, greatly enhancing the flavour profile of our Darjeeling First Flush.
