Fine Silver $5 Ingot featuring English Heritage portrait of Marshal Gebhard Leberecht von Blücher © 1818. Nicknamed Marschall Vorwärts (“Marshal Forwards”) by his soldiers because of his aggressive approach in warfare, Blücher is considered an eccentric but determined and resilient Commander without whom, the victory against Napoleon at Waterloo would have been impossible. This portrait was painted by the British artist George Dawe in 1818, as a special commission for the Duke of Wellington. It still hangs in Wellington’s London residence, Apsley House. This Fine Silver Ingot is presented in clear display case with booklet and certificate and strictly limited to just 500 pieces worldwide.
