The East India Company Appoints Japanese Confectionery Artisan, Kazuaki Eguchi, as Consultant Chef Pâtissier

In our continuing quest to create “remarkable connections” between people and products, we are delighted to announce the appointment of Mr. Kazuaki Eguchi as "Consultant Chef Pâtissier” to our development team. A renowned Chef, Patissier and Chocolatier, Tokyo-based ‘Eguchi-san’ will work closely with EIC Tea Master, Lalith Lenadora, exploring new flavours, ingredients and techniques, with a focus on innovative tea blends and original tea-inspired confectionery for sale in Japan and beyond.
 

 

Profile 
After training with high-end chocolatiers in Japan and long-established Belgian chocolatier Del Rey, Eguchi-san joined Global Dining Co., Ltd. in 2010. There he headed both their pastry department and signature premium chocolate range "Decadence du Chocolat". In 2013, he was appointed as Chef Pâtissier/Chocolatier at the patisserie Del’immo where he also serves as CEO. He is an award-winning author of a series of recipe books renowned for their practical and accessible confectionery and chocolate recipes. Eguchi-san is a regular on Japanese television and has a highly-engaged social media base of over 200,000 followers.
