How to brew:
Matcha, unlike other teas, is blended into water rather than steeped. Put 1 heaped teaspoon (2g) of Matcha into a cup or Matcha Bowl and add 70ml of hot water. Ideal temperature for Matcha is 80 degrees celcius, so let boiling water cool before using.
Use a whisk or spoon to mix the Matcha very gently in the water, then in a repeating motion, increase speed until the tea is mixed. At this stage, there should be a touch of froth at the top. Drink slowly and enjoy. You can increase or reduce the amount of Matcha used to taste.
To make a Matcha latte, prepare the Matcha as above. Separately, foam or warm milk and pour into the Matcha. Try with Soya or Almond milk for a varied flavour profile.
